Elizabeth Start\u2019s <\/span><\/span>Nostalgia <\/span><\/span>for flute and string trio illustrated a stunning range of musical emotion throughout its three movements. The opening movement in particular, \u201cRag Tag Too,\u201d was delightfully wilting, with chords folding over each other to create a haunting, sonically brilliant experience.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

...Unsupervised…performed music by members of the Chicago Composers\u2019 Consortium. Three of these five works stuck out as some of the finest music of the day. <\/em>One was Elizabeth Start\u2019s O, Aedificatio, O Vita<\/strong>, which received its world premiere.
